Everybody seems to be celebrating the December 31st, 2022, night, hoping to wake up full of energy and new hope for January 1st, 2023. The truth is a January 1st is just another day that is going to feel same as any other day of 2022. I am curios to know if celebrating new year is celebrating fresh start or is it celebrating that we survived another year and became stronger each day because at time we are on survival mode, aren't we?
I am sure there are a lot of us who may not have accomplished our goals as we planned that we would by the end of 2022, so technically it is not a new start yet. I anticipate that my friends and I are completing our respective goals by April 2023 and that will be our new year in other words. The celebration that we are seeking for. Starting another goal with fresh mind.

Everything written in this blog may sound little off, like something many of you may feel that does not make any sense, but I just want to know if we can normalise not celebrating on specific days or holidays. If tomorrow is my birthday, is it necessary that I should celebrate it only tomorrow? If today is new year, is necessary that I should celebrate it just today?
I do not intend to impose any thoughts on anyone, these are just the questions on my mind, though a part of it accepts that providing these holidays or new year or birthdays, one tends to find time and reconnects with closed ones using them as an excuse to celebrate another day.
But being so connected to social media now a days, all those people not able to party or hang out or chill outside their home, or in short not having a new year savage plan, should not feel bad or pressured for not celebrating the way that others may be doing so. Sometimes a small, simple celebration like sleeping before it turns 12:00 is also acceptable. If I have an important meeting on my birthday, or an exam to study for on new year, or simply I wish to just lay down on my bed in my night shorts, I will do that. Maturity is understanding the priority and not be pressurised by universal schedule of celebration.
Btw,
Happy New Year :)
Ps: Celebrate when you want to, not when the world tells you to. Use your own discretion.
